Chris Tobin

Chris Tobin moved from Toronto to Montreal in 1987 where he attended fine arts at Concordia University. Not coinciding with his full-time bar job he put his art on the back burner for a few years. It was then he knew his time in the bar was running out and so he picked up his paint brush once again. His medium of choice was watercolour but soon changed to oil. He also attended Dawson College at nights where he studied computer graphics.

He now paints full time. For the most part he paints realism but also dabbles in abstract and impressionism and is currently combining all three styles to come up with one uniquely his. The apple and the pear paintings are a recent example of his changing style. Bigger and better things to come.

He often works from commissioned contracts and sometimes offers a feasible payment plan. Stay tuned!
